Pasqua's Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore from Veneto is a rich, full-bodied red wine offering notes of black cherry, cocoa nibs, clove, and juniper berry. This dry wine shows plush texture and generous fruit that will continue to evolve over the next six years. Serve it at room temperature with grilled ribeye steak, where the wine’s bold character matches the marbled beef, or pair it with pasta Bolognese, as its spiced oak nuances complement the meat sauce. Winemaker Riccardo Tedeschi uses the traditional ripasso method, referencing the wine on dried Amarone grape skins to add depth and concentration. Its layers of mulberry and espresso-cacao flavors make it effortlessly approachable. This juicy, silky Valpolicella represents excellent value and will drink beautifully through 2032.

Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore food pairings: steak, ribs, pasta with a Bolognese sauce, grilled veggies, turkey, pasta.
