The 2009 vintage of the Right Bank is a spectacular wine from a great vintage, right up there with the 2012 and 2013 vintages. Loaded with black fruit and toasty oak. Pair with a pepper steak.

Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc food pairings: roasted paprika chicken, quail grilled in cabbage leaves, Italian wedding soup.

Reviews and Ratings

The 2009 Right Bank Proprietary Red Wine produced by winemaker Scott Palazzo is a blend of 68% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc, and the balance Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine was aged for 14 months in 40% new French oak barrels. Notes of coffee, mocha and dark chocolate (think of Valrhona chocolate made in the Rhone Valley). The harvest was late into November allowing for maximum ripening. - Community Wine Review
