Masi Grandarella 2016 Refosco is a full-bodied and rich Appassimento-style red wine from the Veneto wine region. Look for cassis, dark cherry, earthy and savoury herb flavours on this plushy Refosco. Pour with a mushroom and leek risotto or aged cheeses.

Refosco Trevenezie food pairings: rich meat-based or baked pasta dishes, blackened leg of lamb, strong cheese, mushroom risotto with plenty of Parmigiano-Reggiano.

Trevenezie I.G.T. was established in 1995 as delle Venezie IGT. The new designation came about in 2017 when the delle Venezie title was transferred to the new D.O.C. and covers all of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto, plus the province of Trentino within Trentino-Alto Adige. Masi Grandarella 2016 Refosco is a full-bodied and rich Appassimento-style red wine rich with liquid cassis, dark cherry, dried herbs lush and luxurious on the palate. Drink or hold. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
