Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Wow! Fresh and bright red cherries forever. This is what this elegant 100% Pinot Noir is all about. Dry, medium-plus-bodied and fruit-driven with bright red cherry, raspberry, fine herbs, subtle cinnamon and anise spice flavours savoury and silky on the palate. Grapes were sourced from four vineyards with equal amounts of whole berry and whole cluster grapes naturally fermented for a period of four weeks before being basket pressed to concrete tanks and foudre for ageing.

Lightly chill and drink it on its own, with a rack of lamb (which we did) and the winery suggests with “a light protein or mushroom dish.” But buy it by the case because this Summerland PN is delicious! Tasted February 2023.

After 14 years under the umbrella of Okanagan Crush, Haywire is taking centre stage with a bold and stylish rebranding. A modern tasting lounge has been constructed next to the crush pad and cellar offering fantastic views of Okanagan Lake and the Switchback Organic Vineyard. Opening in the spring of 2023, visitors will be able to enjoy the views and the wines year-round.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
