Reviews and Ratings

Tom Vigeant reviewed this wine as follows:

Sombre purple hue. Intense and fairly complex nose with notes of cassis, raisins, pomegranate, spice and wild flowers. Full bodied, firm tannins with a fresh acidity that carries rich and fleshy fruit. Alcohol makes its presence felt, but the wine is not heady. The finish is long and dominated by raisiny and well integrated toasty oak flavours as well as nice tannins that show some decent ageing potential. Drinks well now with braised beef, lamb or robust Mediterranean dishes, but suggest 2014-2015 as ideal drinking window.
