Natalie's Score: 90/100

Château Bourdieu No. 1 2019 is a full-bodied, Côtes De Bordeaux - Blaye red wine blend of 89% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Malbec. The wine expresses itself beautifully with ripe fresh plum, Bing cherry, well-integrated toasty oak and smoky vanilla flavours plushy on the palate. Acidity is in balance and tannins are fine-grained. Enjoy with a grilled filet mignon.

Food pairings: pork tenderloin en croute, grilled lamb chops, tourtiere, grilled beef long ribs.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
