Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This would be a great gift if you wanted to introduce someone to Cognac - something that represents exactly what Cognac represents. It is made with the classic Ugni Blanc, from a small producer growing in Petit Champagne (a high quality region), using traditional distillation and elevage.
A medium amber colour, with an alcohol just over 40%.
Aromas of dried apricot, smoke, sandalwood, and dried apple.
Flavourwise, it is smooth with an excellent mouthfeel. More dried apricot and apple, with some baking spices on the finish.
Snazzy stuff to be enjoyed neat at Christmas time, or after Thanksgiving dinner.
Augier Le Sauvage Cognac is made from the Ugni blanc white wine grape. Look for dried fig, raisin, apple fruit and cinnamon spice on this well-balanced and fine cognac. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
