Red Wine

Terra D'Aligi Tolos D'abruzzo 2004, D.O.C., Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: A Gold Medal winner at the 2008 Challenge International du Vin. This full-bodied, powerful red is a flagship wine, offering up intense aromas and flavors of ripe red fruit and berries, vanilla and sweet spices with lots of toasted oak on its lengthy finish. My note: Lovely black cherries and ripe plums with hints of vanilla, smoke and pepper in background. Full-bodied. Great price. Pair with: grilled steak, stew, goulash, tomato crostades, beef tartar.
