White Wine

Kim Crawford Anderson Vineyard Bone Dry Riesling 2004, New Zealand: A mouth-watering (and eye-watering) puckeringly fantastic wine that you better drink with food or I'm not to blame. Notes of limes, grapefruit and grass. Closed with a screwcap. Pair with: seafood, vegetarian, chicken, smoked salmon, grilled shrimp. 62608 12% D 750 mL  $19.80 Score: 90/100. Red Wine

Stratus Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2005, V.Q.A. Niagara Peninsula, Canada: A blend of the Bordeaux red varietals plus Gamay and Syrah. A stunning red, one of Canada's best. Incredible layers of length. Notes of mocha, coffee, blackberries and smoke. Supple and smooth. Full-bodied. Pair with: tacos, peking duck, black pudding, veal marsala, baked or grilled eggplant. Drink: 2008-2018. 85092 12.50% D 750 mL  $44.00 Score: 93/100. November 22, 2008 Full Review Add to: Shopping List Cellar
