Ladies Who Shoot Their Lunch Fowles Wine Shiraz 2013, Strathbogie Ranges, Victoria, Australia: Chary burnt fruit in this big Aussie red. The 2012 vintage doesn't perform as well as past vintages. Hope that's not a trend. Try it with wild game that you don't necessarily have to shoot yours. Drink: 2014-2018. 243592 14% XD 750 mL  $35.95 Score: 88/100. February 9, 2017 Plush Pork Wine Full Review
Elderton Shiraz 2013, Barossa Valley, South Australia, Australia: Black as pitch, with lots of toasty oak, smoke and tarry notes. Full-throttle Australia Shiraz in all its glory. I'm a big fan of Elderton wines, and this is one fine example of why. A lovely vein of blackberry liqueur supports this concentrated wonder. Perfect for film noir and blackened ribs. Drink: 2017-2020. 713024 14.50% XD 750 mL  $29.95 Score: 93/100. June 17, 2017 Top Rated Red Wine. Luscious Lamb Wine Full Review
13th Street Cabernet Merlot 2013, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario Vqa, Canada: Juicy, plush, berry-rich and balanced Niagara red wine blend of Cabernet and Merlot grapes. Ripe and delicious. Smooth and full-bodied. Pair with grilled lamb. Drink: 2015-2019. 56598 13.50% XD 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 89/100. February 18, 2017 Best Value Red Wine. Luscious Lamb Wine Full Review
San Pedro 1865 Single Vineyard Carmenere 2014, Maule Valley, Chile: Wow, this single vineyard Carmenere rocks! Carmenere is arguably the flagship red wine of Chile. It has it all: concentrated, rich black fruit flavours and depth, yet it's supple and smooth with a long finish. Velvet on the palate, lingering in the mind. The wines from San Pedro's 1865 line come from its own vineyard planted with a specific variety. The Carmenere comes from the winery's property in the Maule Valley, with rolling hillside vineyards averaging 20 years of age and planted in alluvial soil with angular stones to control plant vigour. This robust red wine finishes with notes of cassis and dried tobacco. Great balance and depth. Try it with a rack of lamb tonight. Highly recommended. Drink: 2016-2019. 249201 14.50% D 750 mL  $20.95 Score: 92/100. December 30, 2016 Best Value Red Wine. Glorious Game Wine Full Review

L'expression De Margaux 2012, Margaux, Bordeaux A.C., France: This wine is bottled at the coveted Bordeaux winery Chateau Rauzan in the renowned appellation of Margaux. Smooth and rich from a terrific vintage, the 2012. A remarkably terrific Bordeaux, especially at this price. Aromas of blackcurrant, cassis and wild blackberry. Dark spice on the finish. Pair with a rare steak. Drink: 2014-2021. 431734 12.50% XD 750 mL  $40.95 Score: 92/100. February 18, 2017 Top Rated Red Wine. Remarkable Roast Chicken Wine Full Review
