Great value under $20 as well. Not fined or filtered the wine is matured for 12-18 months in a combination of French and American oak. Fermentation was stopped two-thirds of the way through and juice was not filtered. "Footbolt" is named in honour of the racehorse that founder Joseph Osborn had to sell in order to start the d'Arenberg winery in 1912. Since 1912, the Osborn family has farmed vineyards in the McLaren Vale. Perfect with grilled steaks on the grill, but can easily cellar for three more years to start showing its best.
