A nice long finish. Primitivo from Italy, like this one, and Zinfandel from California are the same grapes. Pair with meat lovers' pizza or hamburgers. Marchesi Mazzei Zisola Nero D'avola 2009, I.G.T., Sicily, Italy: Terrific black fruit aromas and espresso notes on the nose and palate. Some anise and pepper on the finish.
