TIKI produces ultra premium wines that are pure, beautiful and elegant.
Great New Zealand wine is firstly produced in the vineyard. At TIKI we treat each vineyard block and small parcel of wine as unique. The fruit is crushed, gently pressed and the juice is cold settled.

We are pioneers in growing grapes in the Wairau alpine valley and we offer a range of amazing wines. Royce and Sue McKean have developed all their vineyards from scratch and are now the owners of one of the most extensive private holdings of ultra-premium vineyards in New Zealand. The McKean family are Canterbury locals and live at the beachside village of Sumner in Christchurch. TIKI is managed from their nearby offices in Ferrymead, Christchurch.

The TIKI is a talisman to the indigenous Maori people of New Zealand. It has been regarded as a powerful good luck charm and a symbol of love and fertility since ancient times. Its tilted head symbolizes thinking; the hand is strength; the mouth is communication; the heart love and the loins fertility.

The TIKI is a favoured treasure to give to loved ones, good friends or to a person of high rank or importance.

We have chosen TIKI as a symbol of New Zealand; it’s beautiful landscape and its 'hard case', loveable people. Kiwis (as New Zealanders are known) pride themselves in their hospitality and kindness; sense of fun and fairness; adaptability and outdoor lifestyle - attributes which make them great travellers who are well-received around the world.

So when you share this little piece of New Zealand with friends wherever you are in the world, remember that the spirit of our beautiful country is imparted into each bottle through our love for New Zealand, life, nature, people, food and wine

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable: A Tipsy Search

  Best Books of the Year

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
