Featherstone Red Tail Merlot 2022, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, V.Q.A., Canada: Featherstone Red Tail 2022 Merlot is vegan-friendly and is produced from 100% Merlot sourced from the Niagara Peninsula vineyard. The wine pays homage to the winery's use of falconry to protect those juicy Merlot grapes from the flocks of birds in the know and it is excellent value at $20. Dry, medium-bodied and perfumed with ripe black fruits, dark cherry, cocoa, cassis with earthy and toasty oak spice aromas on the nose and palate. enjoy it now through 2032. The wine was aged up to 10 months in French oak barrels (25% new) crafted from the renowned coopers of Tonnellerie Sirugue.
