White Wine

Forrest Wines The Doctors' Sauvignon Blanc 2023, Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand: This pale straw Sauvignon Blanc leaps from the glass with tart gooseberry, crisp Granny Smith apple and a hint of passionfruit perfume, underscored by fresh-mown lawn and bell-pepper leaf aromas. On the palate it’s vibrant and energetic, unfolding crunchy green-apple flesh, verdant capsicum and a kiss of tropical sweetness, all carried along a zesty, mouthwatering spine that leads into a long, chalk-clean finish. Best enjoyed between now and 2028, it pairs beautifully with oysters dressed in shallot-vinegar mignonette, goat-cheese tartlets sprinkled with chives or avocado-shrimp ceviche brightened with lime and cilantro. Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: salads, seafood, pasta with cream-based sauce. Drink: 2025 - 2027 317842 9.5% XD 750 mL $19.95 Score: 91/100. July 2025. Best Value White Wine Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

Red Wine

Marziano Abbona I Due Ricu 2021, Langhe D.O.C., Italy: This expertly crafted red blend of Nebbiolo, Barbera and Pinot Nero was each fermented and aged on its own before being married in bottle. It pours a deep ruby and opens with a swirl of ripe cherry, raspberry compote and blood-orange peel, unfolding into layers of forest-floor earth, bittersweet chocolate and a whisper of exotic spice. On the palate, the juicy Barbera acidity lifts the bright red-fruit core, while Nebbiolo contributes fine-grained, gripping tannins and Pinot Nero lends a silky, fragrant elegance. The result is both powerful and poised—perfect with a char-grilled ribeye with rosemary-garlic butter, spiced sausage skewers with chimichurri or a wild-mushroom and goat-cheese flatbread drizzled with honey. Food pairings: steaks from the grill, burgers, ribs. Drink: 2025 - 2027 638338 13.7% XD 750 mL $21.95 Score: 90/100. July 2025. Top Rated Red Wine Full Review Add to Shopping Cart
