Red Wine

Featherstone Red Tail Merlot 2024, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: Featherstone names this wine for the red-tailed hawks that patrol its escarpment vineyard. The palate builds in layers, plum and cassis first, then an earthy, herbal undertone that keeps the fruit from feeling simple. Polished tannins give it a smooth, confident feel without ever turning heavy. It should keep developing nicely over the next several years. Grilled pork tenderloin, poultry or a simple cheese board all make satisfying pairings. Merlot food pairings: beef, cheese, poultry, pork tenderloin and chops from the grill. Drink: 2026 - 2032 131540 12.5% XD 750 mL $19.95 Score: 90/100. July 2026. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

White Wine

Novellum Chardonnay 2024, Provence, France: Novellum's Chardonnay opens with a warm, inviting character. Baked apple and a touch of green plum sit at the core, with an earthy, stony note underneath. A gentle toastiness rounds things out. The palate stays bright, with citrus keeping the finish clean rather than heavy. Aged partly in neutral French oak, it drinks beautifully right away rather than needing time. Seafood linguine or veal cutlets in a white wine sauce would make an ideal match. Chardonnay food pairings: veal cutlets with white wine sauce, seafood linguine, spring salads topped with grilled shrimp or chicken.
