Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Crafted from Niagara grapes, fermented using indigenous yeasts from the vineyard and matured in barrels made from Ontario oak. Shows lovely apple, pear and vanilla on the nose, with a creamy palate that gives hints of maple. Good acidity balances the fruit. Enjoy with grilled scallops, roast poultry or cheddar cheese. Delicate and delicious. Local talent! Tasted March 2019
Ripe pear, apple, vanilla, lemon pudding and buttery flavours creamy on the palate all wrapped up in a smoky veil from 12 months of oak aging, in Canadian oak barrels, on Featherstone's 2017 Chardonnay from the Niagara Peninsula, Ontario wine region. Yes, Canadian oak barrels with the oak sourced from trees grown along the Grand River in Ontario. Pair this all-Canadian zesty white with grilled pork chops. - Community Wine Reviews
