Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

This wine oozes class, distinction and a mature personality.

The colour is a rich claret colour .

On the nose there is a green mineral tone coming from the earthy Syrah grape and then this curious brandy cherry note that stepped forward followed by a buttery hazelnut tone. quite enticing!

On the palate, again earthyness, but quite a decadent truffle note followed by delicate spices of nutmeg and white pepper. The fruits step forward, black fruits mainly black currants and that boozy cherry energy again! In quick succession there is a cocoa introduction before it merges into a subtle mint note. There is a good tannin to the finish and I feel like this is the type of wine I would take to a good class dinner party...or like me.....just open, pour, and drink!

Bottoms up!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
