Julia Kelada rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

I really hate blind choosing off of a wine list when there is little information other than the name and the price in a restaurant. However we struck gold when we decided to choose Château la Papeterie.
It's always a tad challenging when you are In a restaurant and you need a wine that will accompany the different starters that you and your partner are choosing, and then the main meal that you are both choosing. So WOW, and Bravo to this wine! It was a total chamillion of a wine, it had power and personality not to seem too insipid yet mellow enough to blend with the diverse flavours of our dishes. My starter included jalapeño pepper whilst my Husbands main was fishy, this wine just blended in majestically!

On the nose it displayed character of red fruits, with a mineral undertone.

On the palate there were dark fruits like plums and cherries, these gave way to a leathery tobacco tone before a delicious subtle chocolate note. The tannins were of a good length and although it was sold at inflated restaurant prices, I would buy this wine again!

Bottoms up!
