Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A family-run vineyard in the southern part of the Okanagan Valley, overlooking Vaseux Lake. Thirty per cent of the juice is fermented in steel, with the remainder fermented in wood, then together, aged for 10 months in French oak. The first approach on the nose is very impressive – this wine’s depth and complexity is right there – showing good minerality, some butter, and pleasant smokiness. There is a beautiful dance between its fresh minerality and creamy, oaky, oily texture, and buttery notes. It’s a very impressive wine that represents the Okanagan wine region very well, with good winemaking technique, resulting in a wine of exquisite balance.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A lovely chardonnay from the Okanagan in B.C. Hand harvested in mid-late September and fermented 30% stainless steel and 70% in new and used french oak barrels. Blended in July 2017. Aromas of peach, citrus and vanilla. A bit of sulphur on the nose but that quickly blew off. Smooth mouthfeel with flavours of white stone fruit. Nice acidity - much like a Burgundian Chardonnay. This would pair nicely with crab cakes and a hollandaise sauce. Tasted March 12, 2018.
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Brilliant gold in the glass, tropical fruit on the nose that carries through to a citrus and apricot flavour. Persistent citrus finish.
Lovely with white fish and assorted cheeses.
Tasted March 2018.
Blue Mountain (2016) Chardonnay is a full-bodied, weighty Chardonnay from the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. Blue Mountain is well known for its toothsome wines. The Chardonnay wine grapes for the 2016 vintage were hand-harvested from 27 year old vines with flavours of ripe pear, lemon curd, flint, sagebrush and toast on the palate, finishing long and citrusy. Pair with roast pheasant. - Community Wine Reviews
