Deborah Podurgiel rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A lighter Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is medium intensity ruby red to powdery red rim. This is a lovely, youthful, wine; black currant, black currant leaf, sour cherry, dried green herbs, hay, sweet spice cinnamon and mace on the nose. On the palate the wine is dry, medium body, acidity and alcohol. Tannins are rounded, soft and talc-like with a medium fruit intensity of black currant and sour cherry, some savoury dried herbs and a longer than medium finish. There is not much oak treatment on this wine, and was to merely mellow and integrate its components. However, there is some complexity to the wine and the fruit is well-integrated showing defined blackcurrant fruit, balanced acidity and rounded tannins.

Mon Bijou is a little gem, drink now Cabernet Sauvignon that won’t bust the budget and absolutely drinkable. It can be had on its own, or with alight blue brie, white cheddar, beef and lamb dishes. I had it with ostrich tenderloin (similar in texture and taste to elk) done to perfection in a cast iron pan and it was a delicious pairing.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
