This wine is reminiscent of the Cote d'Or Syrah/Viognier in both style and characteristic. What happened as a mistake in the vineyard when the Viognier press broke and the juice blended into the Syrah, created this magical treat. The Viognier makes the Syrah darker in colour, richer in flavour and a more balanced grape for both nose and palate. Not overly ripe fruit presents a wonderfully aromatic nose and still presents the classic hint of pepper from the Syrah. The palate is rich and beautifully balanced, with flavours of blackberry compote, black pepper and plum fill the senses. This wine has the right amount of richness to be enjoyed in the summer with a lovely BBQ of steaks, filets or smoked Cornish hen.

A sure fire hit at the party! Full-bodied and lovely deep ruby. Black pepper hits the nose up front followed up nicely with plum, blackberry,cherry syrup with a hint of fruitcake.
As seen on the label Creekside Reserve wines represent the best of small batches. This Syrah definitely deserves the title. Some worthy tannins make this wine age worthy. It drinks beautifully now. Long pepper,cherry finish.
