Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This winery put out a dynamite buy in 2010 and 2011 which I still fondly remember. This wine isn't as great as those but a solid buy none the less. Lovely nose, berry fruit and elevated levels of alcohol from the Grenache. Buy this one as it's a great buy in itself but don't expect lightning to hit 3 times in a decade.
Xavier 2016 is a well-priced Côtes Du Rhône, Rhône wine region red. Dry, and robust, this full-bodied, smoky red is a blend of equal amount of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre fairly dripping with ripe red cherry, sweet cake spice and mocha flavours on the palate. The Grenache vines were planted nearly 100 years ago. Pair with lamburgers. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
