Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This wine has Ribeye written all over it. Classic mentholated Coonawarra Cabernet with lots of crushed black cherry, black currants, spice, and and hit of black raspberry. Just stunning. 92 points.
Perry rated this wine as 91/100
Lise Charest Gagne rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I held on to this bottle on purpose as an experiment and tasted in in Feb 2019. I was pleasantly surprised to find loads of juicy dark berries (black currant), balanced acidity and a boldness that didn't revolt. Some
interesting herbs like spearmint and identifiable cedar oak influence without feeling like campfire smoke surrounded me. Such a great example of Coonawarra Cab grab a bottle from this area for yourself and the biggest glass you can!
Colette Martin rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Appearance : Deep Ruby, clear
Aroma: Lots of ripe red and dark berries, currant leather and sweet tobacco and dried herbs
On the palate big red fruits, cedar, leather, tobacco and baking spice with a hint of vanilla
Nice balance of acidity and tannins, structured
medium long finish with lots of ripe berries and spice and tobacco
Wonderful value wine and fresh still for a 2012
Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby in colour with aromas of black cherry, plum, raspberry, smoke and mint. It is fulled bodied with well balanced acidity and tannins. On the palate you get luscious flavours of ripe red fruits and black pepper. This will be an excellent pairing with a juicy steak or a BBQ’d rack of ribs. Tasted on March 11, 2018.
Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A pleasing Australian Cabernet Sauvignon that veers on the fruit-forward side and yet, there is spice and smoke. A big wine with acidity to stand up and keep ones interest.
A great wine for BBQ'd meats.

Simon Chen rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

It has already developed some secondary aromas of cigar box, wet forest. On the palate, it still has the new-world fruits but not over the top. Med body and med finish. It can definitely go for another 5 years
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Big and bold, uber juicy, balanced. Ripe raspberry, blackberry, spicy. Great acidity, medium plus tannins, savoury, eucalyptus. Pairs well with rack of lamb or gourmet burgers. Tasted 2012 vintage in March 2018 decanted 1h. 90 points
Wynns Coonawarra Estate The Siding 2012 is a juicy, mouth-watering and full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from the Coonawarra, South Australia. Look for rich blackberry, dark fruit, light herbs, cedar and savoury spice on this smoky red. Tannins are grippy and this purple-crimson red is a great cellaring candidate. Drink now and for the next 10 years. - Community Wine Reviews
