A superbly balanced and elegant Californian Cabernet with great restraint, yet not shy on flavour or character at all. Aromas of fleshy black plum and smoke. Supple and smooth and juicy. Pair with roast beef.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: pizza with meat, pork tenderloin, rare beef steaks...

Reviews and Ratings

Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This highly affordable California Cabernet Sauvignon has armoas of plum, blackberry, smoke, toasted vanilla and baking spices. Flavours of jammie plum, blackberry and mild spice follow through on the palate. It is a full bodied wine with well balanced tannins and acidity. Enjoy with with a nice steak or medium rare roast beef.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Blackberry, plum, smoke, and a hint of vanilla in the aroma. Smells 'deep'. The taste is smooth blackberry and plum with some milk chocolate as well. Medium acidity and medium+ tannins. Perfect for prime rib, or braised beef.
Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Great duck wine! Not in-your-face fruity like other Cali cab sauvs. Nicely integrated tannin, good acidity, and beautiful black cherry, plum, caramel and cocoa flavours. Excellent hostess gift! A crowd pleaser for sure. Tasted July 2017.
Camelia Bucur rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

William Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 on the nose brings out a lot of sweet spices with hints of blackberries and plums. On the palate, the jamminess of the plums comes out with a sweet edge to it from the sweet spices. It's a dry, medium tannins and with a long finish. Full bodied and smooth can be enjoyed with a nice pulled pork dish.
Rich and expressive, with grapes grown along California's north coast and central coast. Opens with jammy ripe blackberries and a decadent toasty oak finish. This wine won a Gold Medal at the 2015 San Francisco Wine Competition. - Community Wine Reviews
