A full-bodied, rustic Rioja red blend of mostly Tempranillo aged in American oak. Look for ripe dark berry, plum, dark cherry and savoury herb flavours on the palate. Pair with meaty game stews or grilled game sausage.

Food pairings: roast pheasant, grilled venison tenderloin, roast duck.

Reviews and Ratings

Viña Arana Reserva 2011 is produced from Tempranillo (with a smattering of Mazuello) wine grapes from La Rioja Alta wine region. Dry, robust with dried dark berry, sweet tobacco leaf and savoury flavours on the palate. Aged in previous use American oak barrels. Enjoy now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
