The grand dame herself Madame Clicquot was known for her robust, rather masculine Champagnes, in which Pinot Noir often led in the blend. Today is no different, especially with this marvelous vintage dated sparkling wine. Creamy, toasty and rich: a beautiful vintage dated Champagne. Aromas of crisp apple and freshly baked bread. Pair with oysters. Great balance, structure, acidity and finish here.

Champagne food pairings: oysters, popcorn, chips and dip.

Taste: Dry, fine, elegant bubbles, with green apples, citrus (lemon, lime, pink grapefruit), yeast and a touch of minerals

Fresh and crisp, fine bubbles, lees, wet stone minerality, citrus blossom, lime zest. A beautifully complex, well structured, balanced vintage Champagne. Enjoy on it's own and easily with almost any meal, any time of the day. Rated 94/100 - bespoketastings.ca
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Liquid gold! Baked pear and brioche, delicate bubbles, a wonderful gift wine. If you snag this for New Year's Eve, be sure to enjoy it FIRST to savour everything this celebration wine has to offer.
Terry Jeans - Certified S rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This has apples, toasty, yeasty notes that are so appealing on the nose for champagne drinkers/lovers, and this a great example of one of the finest. A vintage year, that will last decades in the cellar but is ready to drink now, with high acidity that is perfectly balanced fruit and slight sweetness. Amazing!
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

My notes say "nom-nom" - which says it all! Dry, dry and crisp but with great body hiding under the fine bubbles. Lemon, brioche and almond on the palate. Beautifully sippable now, but will evolve for another decade.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Beautiful, the perfect wine to enjoy for a celebration or special occasion. Beautiful toast and biscuit notes, along with a bit of lemon zest and crisp green apple. Mousse is fine and creamy with tiny, intense bubbles. No food pairing necessary, just pour a glass and enjoy!
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

The first thing you notice is the yeast, biscuit and brioche. This is the House's 65th Vintage since 1810 and they truly know how to make a fine champagne. Long finish with citrus notes. Pair this with - absolutely nothing - it should be enjoyed just on its own!! Tasted November 27, 2016
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Delicate aromas and flavours of white tree fruit, brioche and crushed nuts, enveloped in a beautiful very fine, creamy mousse. This is the ideal Champagne to celebrate a special moment, or to give as a gift. Some call it pricey, but it costs the same as getting your tires changed and stored, so why not live a little?
Tasted Nov. 2016
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Bright yellow straw. Fresh peaches, fresh baked bread yeast, and hazelnut aromas. Gentle fizz and long juicy lemon finish. Will pair with everything or absolutely nothing! Score 92. (Reviewed Nov. 27, 2016).
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

An elegant Champagne! Fine mousse, delicate notes of citrus, green apple and brioche. A long, smooth finish with hint of minerality. A true classic. Enjoy sipping on its own- take your time with this one!
Bill Wright Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Well balanced apple finish. Medium finish
Sharon Lécuyer rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

Aromas of toasted nuts and red delicious apple. On the palette, tart apple, mineral notes and dry with a slight effervescence.
The grand dame herself Madame Clicquot was known for her robust, full-bodied Champagnes with Pinot Noir often leading the way in the blend. This one is dry, creamy, toasty and rich, just a delicious vintage Champagne with dried dates, fig, ripe pear, apple, grassy and brioche flavours on the palate. Enjoy with grilled lobster tales and drawn butter. Yummy! - Community Wine Reviews
