Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Stunning and bold Syrah. Aromas of dark plum and blackberry, along with hints of sweet tobacco smoke and a lovely savoury hint. Full bodied, rounded and rich on the palate, with soft tannins, moderate acidity, and rich, dark berry notes. Slight hints of tomato leaf, black pepper and more sweet smoke on the finish. Truly beautiful! Enjoy with pan-seared duck.
Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Deep, dark and a broody violet in the glass, this beautiful Similkameen Syrah is earthy with aromas of dark berry, plum, bell pepper, cooked bacon… enough for me to want to fry an egg. On the palate, the wine is dry, medium-plus-bodied, fresh with medium-plus-acidity deliciously elegant with refined power (15.2% abv) and developing with dark berry, plum, fresh ground pepper, tomato leaf, red bell pepper, bacon, bacon, bacon flavours long on the palate with a touch of VA. Very good now but can easily cellar three-plus years. Tannins are fine and grippy. Tasted January 2023.
