Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Summer is still alive and well, and Township 7 Vineyards & Winery 2018, 7 Blanc is here to remind us of that! A zesty, off-dry 56% Gewurztraminer, 22% Pinot Gris, 9% Viognier, 9% Riesling, 4% Muscat white wine blend, fragrant with spring florals, rose petals, lychee, fresh pear and spicy aromas on the nose. Fresher still with ripe pear, rose petals, lychee and ginger spice on the palate and a well-crafted balance of acidity to fruit sweetness. A higher residual sugar content than in previous vintages was allowed to match and balance the vibrant acidity of the 2018 vintage. This is a delicious white blend and a great pairing to mildly-spiced curries and Asian dishes. We paired it with pan-fried steelhead filets and it was a perfect match for this rich dish.

From a moderate vintage yo-yoing between heat, cold and smoke, but finally finishing with a warmer year than average. Winemaker’s comments: “The 2018 vintage is one of freshness and elegance with slightly cooler temperatures resulting in wines with vibrant acidity, lower alcohol and intense fruit character.”

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
