The 2016 vintage of this Washington Merlot offers lots of pleasure in the glass. Hailing from a cold climate, this Merlot features aromas of black plum, cassis, blackberry. Pair with grilled pork chops and lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The 2016 vintage of Washington State cool climate Merlot, is showing ruby red with balanced medium plus acidity, fine medium tannins. This wine offers graphite minerality, cassis, blueberry, wild strawberry, savoury. This is a crowd pleasing Merlot, great for celebrating and accessibly priced. Pairs well with BBQ baby back ribs, a rare BBQ rib steak, or blue cheese filet mignon. Enjoy now. Tasted 2016 vintage June 2018. 90 points
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A lovely Merlot that is not overdone. A core of chocolate, plum and kirsch with some fresh purple flower and warm spice notes. 90 Points.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Black fruit and cassis notes with some chocolate notes on the palate. Finishes with soft tannins. Tasted May 2018.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Sweet, jammy fruit with cherry, plum, fig and vanilla and just a touch of basil. Rich, raspberry jam and smokey butterscotch. A sweeter, plusher red with no tannin. Pair with a roast herbed chicken.
Sharon Aubie rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Interesting bottle label that makes you want to try the wine to see if it lives up to the name. Aromas of red fruit with flavours of blackberry with moderate acidity and soft tannins. Good go-to Merlot.
