Lafage / OLD VINES / Tessellae Old Vines Cotes du Roussillon 2016 is rich with dark cherry, plum, savoury herbs and cracked pepper flavours on the palate. This is a fleshy, juicy red produced from 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre grapes sourced from the Midi wine region in south France. Great value under $20. Pair with grilled lamb shoulder chops. MINE: Tessellae 2016 is produced from old vines 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre grapes sourced from the Côtes Du Roussillon, Midi wine region in south France. This lush and full-bodied red is fleshy with rich cherry, dark berry, plum, cracked pepper, garrigue herbs and dark spice flavours on the palate. Seriously a great buy below $20. Pair with grilled lamb and pork chops. OTHER: The GSM of the estate, the 2017 Tessellae Old Vines checks in as 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre brought up mostly in concrete. Blackberries, kirsch, spice, incense, dried flowers, and baking spice notes all flow to a full-bodied, gorgeously textured effort. It's another gem from this team. Drink date: 2019-2022. Score - 92 (Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com, April 3, 2019). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
