I’m a sucker for tawny ports, with their warm toffee, caramel, almond notes. The 20-year tawny has even more richness, depth and complexity than the 10-year tawny and all of its caramel, toffee, almond goodness. It offers a seductive texture that floods the senses with a long, comforting apricot and dried-fruit finish.

20-Year-Old Aged Tawny Port food pairings: chicken with dates, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, chocolate truffles, almond based desserts.

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

The Taylor Fladgate 20 Year Old Tawny Port has intense aromas of prune, butter scotch and pecans. It is a full bodied, sweet, aged port; with good acidity, subtle tannins (no need for decanting) and a long, slightly warm finish. Drink as a desert; drink now – 2020. My impression: BEAUTIFUL to DIVINE, 93 pts – recommended for its quality. Tasted in September 2013 at iYellow's Taylor Fladgate Port Party http://grapeselections.com/port-and-werewolves/

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

An opulent and smooth Tawny Port made by one of the oldest Port houses. Visually, it has hues of amber with bright cherry reflections. On the nose, there are rich aromas of buttery caramel, dates, fruitcake, and sweet decomposing autumn leaves with wood notes and hazelnut.

On the palate, there’s a pleasant balance of sweet and tart with concentrated flavours that include burnt caramel, rich and buttery date squares, dried Montmorency cherry, dried apricot, marmalade, and a slightly bitter hazelnut finish. The flavours linger.

Tasted March 2019.

Wine-Food Pairing: Pair with blue cheese, sharp cheddar or with salty sharp Italian cheese. If served with cheese, a raisin or dried fruit chutney would be a tasty addition. This type of Port makes such a good pairing with ooey-gooey dark chocolate brownies drizzled in a buttery caramel sauce.
Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Alex: Now we're getting tawny! Just a faint hint of fruit here, somewhere amidst a whack of toffee, walnuts, vanilla bean and some dried citrus rind. Fresh, nutty and deep palate with a smooth, velvety texture. Very classy. 91pts

Priya: Classy indeed! This is rich and spicy with loads of lasting flavor. But for the price I'd go for the 10 year at 1/2 the cost. 88pts
