A vibrant, juicy, mouth-watering Beaujolais cru wine. This medium-bodied Burgundian red wine does not use carbonic maceration and is made form the Gamay grape. It is oak aged. Aromas of cherry-berry and smoke. Pair with veal.

Food pairings: roast rustic chicken, hearty meat dishes, grilled game burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely with tons of fruit flavours and mouthwatering acidity. Aromas of cherry and ripe strawberry, along with black pepper and woodsmoke. Medium bodied, with bright, vibrant acidity, and ripe berry hints on the palate, along with some light tannins. Pepper and smoky notes carry through on a lengthy finish. Enjoy with cedar planked salmon done on the grill.
Stéphane Aviron (2014) Beaujolais Villages is sourced from 50 year old vines in a lieu-dit “Les Monthieux,” located in the commune of Lantignie. Soils here are composed of clay and limestone. This wine is intense with ripe black fruit flavours, racy acidity and quite firm tannins. Cellar for three years. - Community Wine Reviews
