Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

Let me introduce you to a fine distinguished wine….Stags Leap….this is a serious wine, one you sit and take the time to enjoy every note of pleasure!
Let’s get this over with…the price is $49.25, so maybe you would want to be just a little selfish in sharing the joy of this wine, but it is well worth every mouthful
On the nose there is a mineral presence, definatly slightly intriguing given is rich dark colour. The first mouthful was almost of sour cherries, red fruit and pepper. There seemed to be a great intertwining of leather with blackberries and blueberries…..the deliverance was pure genius. Long dry tannins, rich and classy! Delicious!
Bottoms up!
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Notes of black currant, cherry and pepper. Well balanced tannins provide for a lasting finish.
Travis rated this wine as 82/100 with the following review:

A nice wine but I didn't feel like it was worth the price

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
