Natalie's Score: 90/100

A Fresh Pinot Noir from the people who know how to make PN. Spy Valley Pinot Noir is a medium-plus-bodied, plushy and fresh red wine with dark cherry, cake spice flavours and smoky on the palate. Tannins are fine-grained. Great acidity for food, pair this juicy red with bison burgers from the grill.

Pinot Noir food pairings: pork tenderloin, mushroom and truffle dishes, tourtière.

Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Expressive red fruit nose of cherry, cranberry, and pomegranate accented by cinnamon and spice. Bright acidity with soft tannins and a medium-plus body. Nails the style and offers value. What grows together goes together, so pair with some grilled New Zealand lamb chops.
Produced by Spy Valley, this 2015 Pinot Noir is so fragrant with black cherry, baking spices and smoky aromas on the nose. Just as delicious on the palate with more ripe red berries, ripe dark cherry, ground coffee, sweet cake spice and smoky flavours on the palate. Tannins are fine-grained and chewy. Decant one hour prior to pouring with a rack of lamb. Drink now and for the next 10 years. - Community Wine Reviews
