Vision Series 2016 is an elegant, aromatically fresh and zesty medium-bodied, dry Chardonnay from Sperling Vineyards in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. On the palate there is toasty almond, golden apple, leesy, nutty and baking spice layers of flavours. Wine grapes were hand-harvested, cluster sorted, then gently whole-cluster pressed and the wine juice fermented in large oak barrels.

Chardonnay food pairings: butternut ravioli served with Alfredo sauce, roast duck, crab cakes.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

There is so much going on in this glass of Chard. The nose overflows with green hazelnut, unripe stone fruit, preserved citrus and a whiff of lanolin. This translates to the palate, and is accompanied by some unripe tropical fruit and a wave of fresh, mouthwatering acidity. The food pairings are endless, but think freshwater fish cooked with brown butter. Pretty spectacular. 93 Points.
Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Produced by Ann Sperling, Sperling Vineyards 2016 Chardonnay is an elegant, well-crafted and ultra-balanced Chardonnay. On the nose this Chard is fresh with white florals, ripe yellow apple, pear and clean mineral aromas. On the palate, the wine is dry, medium-plus bodied and luxurious with a smooth, creamy and elegant mouth feel. Wine grapes for this wine were hand-harvested and fermented in large oak barrels just enough to give it structure and on its lees just enough to keep it fresh and to give it a savoury, nutty, soft citrus finish that is more like citrus zest meets clean minerality. It shone when we paired it with an Atlantic salmon filet seared in sesame oil and topped with a spritz of Meyer’s lemon.
From Sperling Vineyards in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley, Vision Series 2016 is an elegant, aromatically fresh and zesty medium-bodied Chardonnay with toasty almond, golden apple, leesy, nutty and baking spice layers of flavour on the palate. Pair with roast pheasant. The Chardonnay grapes were hand-harvested, cluster sorted, then gently whole cluster pressed and wine was fermented in large oak barrels. Select barrels are blended and bottled after 10-12 months of ageing on its lees. Enjoy this Chardonnay with creamy white wine garlic seafood linguini. - Community Wine Reviews
