Dark and brooding with black fruit, smoke and a pleasantly bitter and refreshing finish. Cries out for hearty meat dishes, especially barbecue. Stunningly great price for this quality.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: red meat, pork, spicy sauces, sausages.

Reviews and Ratings

Beverly Crandon rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

On colour, the Santa Rita 120 Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 holds a ruby red hue. On the nose, scents of vanilla, plum and red berries are present while on the palate, the expected fruit forwardness with well tempered tannins rings through.

While drinking this wine, I couldn’t help but think it is the kind of red that is certainly affordable, but also palate neutral. You’ll undoubtedly be able to serve this wine to the white wine die hard fans, and even those who do not normally look to wine as a libation choice. It’s a fantastic everyday drinking wine.
120 Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep and intense violet-red in color. Notes of red and black fruits predominate on the nose with the touch of spice that is typical in Cabernet, plus the aromas of vanilla, cloves, and tobacco that come from the oak. Sweet, elegant, and smooth tannins lend depth to the well-rounded palate and lead to a fresh, fruity, and juicy finish.
