Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I usually fall in love instantly when i drink a full bodied 15% wine, i'm that type of person who can drink a glass of wine unaccompanied by food, but now i met my match! This is a wine with a body and a half, this is an amazing wine but….you should definitely not start your evening with this one. This is a wine you work your way up to and then savour each and every sip, this is what i call a cigar lounge wine…..it's ready to lounge back and inhale the energy!
When you first open this bottle the first aroma that you get is of the oaky barrel and peppery tingle, but as the wine embraces the air a complexity of fruits start to introduce themselves. Cherries are first followed by delicious plumbs, but then an intriguing and subtle introduction of dates, possibly even figs, its just so deliciously rich! There are long dry tannins that leave you momentarily speechless . I highly recommend this as a great wine for the holidays with the rich foods at Thanksgiving but most importantly the Christmas holiday season from a blue cheese and aged cheddar platter to a heavenly Christmas pudding. This wine holds court!
Bottoms up!

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
