San Pedro 1865 2019 is produced from Old Vines Cabernet Sauvignon from some of the oldest vineyards in the Lontué zone, south of Curicó Valley. The vines are more than 70 years old and are dry-farmed. The finished wine was aged in foudres for 18 months. Look for spicy dark fruits, chocolate, savoury dried herbs generous and warm on the palate. Tannins are firm and rich.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: meats from the grill, BBQ ribs, game sausage cassoulet.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Lovely old vine Cabernet Sauvignon, from 70+ year old vines. Aromas of blackberry and cherry, along with hints of mocha, smoke, and spice. Full bodied with soft tannins and vibrant acidity. Lovely balanced ripe berry notes, mingled with more smoke and mocha hints, along with a touch of vanilla. Enjoy with grilled beef or portobello mushroom dishes.
