Tania Thomas - CSW, WSET ADV rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This luscious, great value red comes from “The Golden Triangle” of Tempranillo growing in Spain’s northern region of Ribera del Duero. It is vinified with the fruit of half a century old vines, growing on high elevation. The wine is fermented in small stainless steel tanks and matured for 12 months in new French oak, followed by further bottle maturation. Full bodied and supple, it delivers abundance of ripe black cherries, figs and plums. Well integrated soft tannins on the palate. A hint of smoke and vanilla add complexity to the smooth, velvety finish. Great companion to grilled meats and mature cheeses.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
