Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A Primitivo varietal from Manduria, southern Puglia in Italy, this full-bodied wine has ripe fruit aromas that carry through to the palate with cherry and sweet spices. It is well-balanced with medium tannins and a medium, smooth finish. Pair with Italian fare or dare with spicy, Indian food.
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Bold ripe fruits in the bouquet, mostly dark fruit aromas including blackberry, plum, and blueberry, as well as prune. Good acidity, length, and interest. There's more going on here than in most new world Zinfandels. Great barbecue wine, a natural match for burgers, sausages, chicken, and ribs.
Produced by Montedidio, Regia Maestà 2016 is a full-bodied, juicy Primitivo Di Manduria from the Puglia wine region. Look for ripe cherry, blackberry, plum, pepper spice and smoky vanilla flavours on this powerful red. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
