Reviews and Ratings

Carola Price rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Deep red and clear. Nose is quite closed. Hints of licorice and spice. Medium bodied with lots of red fruit and soft spice. Medium bodied and so pleasant.
Pair with roast chicken and grilled pork.
Drink now or hold for 2 years.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Dark plum, milk chocolate, and dried herb aromas. Tart cherry favours with touch of the plum and chocolate n the palate. Great for medium cheeses.
Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Deep garnet colour, with aromas of fresh cassis, elderflower, violet and spice. Quite fleshy and jammy on the palate, with a dense structure and firm, dusty tannins. Kirsch notes linger on the finish.
This robust Portuguese red wine features aromas of dark fruit and spice. Perfect for grilled meats. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
