Reviews and Ratings

Anthony Hillman - WSET ADV rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A light and fruity good value Pinot Noir from a lesser known French region. Ripe red raspberry and cherry fruit aromas and a touch of tea leaf overlay some farmyard earthiness. On the lighter side of medium body, with soft tannins, a smooth and juicy mouthfeel, darker dried fruit flavours of cherry and fig, some spice, and a short to moderate finish.

For consumption soon, within the next year, enjoyed on its own, paired with salmon, or as an accompaniment for light savoury finger foods.

Tasted December 2014

From the labels and agent website, abswineagencies.co.uk:

- IGP Puy de Dome (which is in the volcanic mountainous Auvergne)

- same latitude as Bordeaux and Northern Rhone, though at altitude between 350 and 570m, which makes it good for Pinot Noir and Gamay

- 8 months in stainless steel

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
