Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

An engaging and vibrant Organic Tempranillo Blanco. My first time trying a Tempranillo Blanco and such a fascinating wine and grape type! Vinified in stainless steel with notes of yellow fruit, golden apples, starfruit, melon and salinity. Flint and fruit following through at the back with green apples, crisp citrus and fresh herbal reflections. Medium plus well balanced acidity, following with a light, zesty body and finish. An enjoyable, and intriguing discovery! Serve chilled with whitefish, veggie burgers and salads. Or, bring it to a cook out and impress your friends with this fun, engaging wine-find.
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Soft and gentle nose showcasing grapefruit, white blossom, and mineral aromas. Integrated acidity, texture from aging on lees, and dry with medium body. Expect citrus pith and tropical fruits on the palate. Mouthwatering through the finish. An interesting and unique wine. Tempranillo Blanco is a white mutation of Tempranillo first discovered in 1988, evaluated, stabilized, and planted, and first bottled in 2005. Now a permitted white variety in Rioja, made into varietal wine like this and available for blending with Viura. Try this offering with crab, lobster, and most seafood dishes.
An interesting Tempranillo Blanco from the Rioja Wine Region. Pg Zaumau 2017 is produced from 100% organically grown Tempranillo Blanco from 10-year-old vines planted in high altitude vineyards with sandy and limestone soils. Fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged on the lees for five months. Look for white florals and tropical fruit aromas on the nose with lemon pie and ripe orchard fruit flavours on the palate. Good acidity for food like fish tacos and crab cakes, but great chilled as an aperitif as well. - Community Wine Reviews
