Natalie's Score: 88/100

Only 501 cases (of 12 bottles) were produced of this Niagara white wine. This is a relatively new Ontario winery, but already making a splash. The acidic attack on this wine is bracing, almost surprising. It needs food the way (fill in your favourite comparison... I'm out of metaphors for the day).

Riesling food pairings: grilled chicken with lemongrass stalk, duck liver pate, baby greens salad with fig dressing, spicy pasta dishes, grilled salmon with lemon sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Granny Smith apple, gooseberry, grapefruit, grapefruit pith with a floral component. Medium+ lip smacking acidity. Only 501 cases were made of this Ontario Riesling. Long tart finish.
Pair with grease and salt. Think German sausage, Lays potato chips, battered fish.
Tasted: March 2015
Although this flavourful Niagara white wine has just 11.5% alcohol is not's short on character, or acid. Winemaker Pearl Morissette after the winery is named is definitely trying new things here with the 2013 Black Ball. - Community Wine Reviews
