Vintages Wine Panel: Paul Hobbs’ reputation as a wine consultant is unparalleled with nearly three dozen wineries in California, Chile and Argentina under his guiding hand. Indeed, Hobbs is the winemaker that many iconic producers turn to for advice. Hobbs also owns two wineries: Viña Cobos in Argentina, and Paul Hobbs in California. Rich, complex fruit notes with cedar, pepper and cassis on the nose. Dry, ripe and round with wonderful depth. An elegant and flavourful wine that will drink beautifully with a choice cut of steak. It will also reward 4+ years in a cellar. My note: A solid, well-crafted red with classic aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and cassis. Full-bodied with terrific structure and length.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: steak.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
