Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

An herbal nose highly reminiscent of Averna and other bitter Italian liqueurs. Beyond that, there are tart red fruit and black fruit notes followed by vanilla and oak. Palate shows similar fruit, trending more towards dried than fresh. High acid, moderate tannins, and a full body. Great typicity, classic styling. An obvious match for pastas with meaty red sauce, and equally pleasing with roast chicken.
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A medium-bodied Valpolicella, made in the ripasso method to enhance the flavours of the wine, it open with ripe black fruit aromas, with oak influences of leather and chocolate. Dense fruit to the medium finish, the acidity and tannins are medium as well. Serve with beef or lamb.
Produced by Cantina di Verona, Pagus Bisano 2017 Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore is a dark and rich red blend of Corvina and Rondinella wine grapes. Look for dark plum, liquid cherry, cedar spice and mocha flavours on this silky, supple red wine. Well-balanced with structured tannins and great value under #20. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
