Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I love the Thanksgiving Holiday. It marks a definite change of seasons and makes me take notice and pause at the fantastic colours of fall, where, as Albert Camus observed, “every leaf is a flower.” It also reminds me that I truly have a lot to be thankful for, health, good food, wine, great family and friends with who to share these bounties of the season. One of the wines I will be sharing is a great made-for-turkey, dry, white blend from Desert Hills Estate Winery. Cactus White (2016) is a blend of 40% Viognier of 25% Chardonnay, 20% Gewurztraminer and 15% Pinot Gris. On the nose the wine is ripe apple, pear, soft orange citrus, ripe melon and honey with much of the same notes and a medium-weight on this well-balanced white on the palate; but then there is that little kick of spice on the finish to complement any roast turkey and stuffing dinner. This vintage was awarded a Gold Medal at the International Northwest Wine Summit.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
