Toasted almond love with cherry fleshy satin sheets. Stop me before I go on. I'm buying a case. Outrageously low alcohol is a perfect pairing for sensuous hedonists who often have one more glass than they really should. A consistently great producer of Pinot Noir, Norm Hardie's County Unfiltered is a cult favourite of many Ontario wine lovers. Aromas of tart cherries and some spice. Racy, mouth-watering acidity for seared tuna or planked salmon.

Pinot Noir food pairings: planked salmon, grilled pork chops, lamb kabobs, venison burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Tart cherry glore! Moderate aromas dominated by tart red cherry, cranberry and spice notes. The palate is dry with high juicy acidity, low-to-no tannins and a long tart cranberry finish. Enjoy with turkey dinner! Tasted by @sommosa | bespoketastings.ca
From Prince Edward County wine region in Ontario, Norman Hardie County (2016) Pinot Noir is liquid cherry and red berries, savoury spice wrapped up in vibrant acidity on the palate. At less than 11% alcohol, you could and would have more than one glass of this Pinot Noir. Unfiltered (bottled unfined and unfiltered) is from the Niagara region and lovingly made by Norm Hardie, a consistently great producer of Pinot Noir. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
