Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The label on this bottle spoke to me for across the isles, and I have to say, seeing 15% alcohol made me very curious! I'm a new lover of Spanish wine, I used to think they were too light for me, but extensive research...not a problem for me of course, has resulted in unearthing some wondrous finds. This one is a little on the expensive side but I enjoyed it's unpredictable notes as this wine breathed.
It's a classically ruby red wine. The nose produces, raspberries, cherries, thyme and vanilla.
On the palate this wine is a pro, it's well refined and well balanced with no harsh edges of any kind.
Freshly poured this wine shows coffee, mild acidity , elderberry, blueberry pie, then as it evolves there are notes of thyme and a faint hint of leather. It's as if there are an abundance of surprises yet it's delicate and discreet!

Bottoms up!

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
