Mullineux 2017 is a dry, medium-bodied 65% Chenin Blanc, 13% Grenache Blanc, 10% each of Viognier, Clairette Blanche, and 2% Sémillon Gris white wine blend produced by Chris and Andrea Mullineux of Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines. Fresh golden apple, soft orange, ripe stone fruit and sweet cake spice flavours are layered and well-integrated on the palate. Very elegant with great finesse, enjoy now with grilled shellfish or hold in cellar for another five years.

White food pairings: grilled fatty fish, fried chicken, smoked whitefish.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Swartland Wine Region, Mullineux 2017 is an Old Vines medium-bodied and dry white blend of 65% Chenin Blanc, 13% Grenache Blanc, 10% each of Viognier, Clairette Blanche, and 2% Sémillon Gris produced by Chris and Andrea Mullineux, Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines. Well-integrated layers and intensity of fresh golden apple, stone fruit, soft orange, citrus flavours and a lingering spicy finish. Very nicely done. Chill and enjoy with grilled shellfish and crab cakes or hold in cellar for another five years to see how it develops and matures. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
